For Such A Time As This…
These are the words spoken to Queen Esther when the life of the Jewish people was at stake.
Esther saw the death of her parents at a very young age and was also thrown out of her native land to be a slave in an unknown land. Later, she was forced to marry a man, who was a King, already married.
Esther, whose original name was Hadassah, which means a flower from a myrtle bush. This flower was used to make perfume. Esther’s life petals were plucked at a very young age. She was a victim of circumstances.
God in His sovereignty raised her up to be a Queen. Eventually, she saved a whole nation from destruction.
Esther’s life depicts the life of young girls in India. Girls who are abused, afflicted and considered a liability rather than an asset.
G.I.F.T. focuses on raising up young girls from being victims to victorious by giving them Christ, the Victorious One.
G.I.F.T. teaches them about the healing power of God that can wipe away their painful past and make them into a sweet smelling aroma to others as they allow the sweetness of the Holy Spirit into their bitter and fear stricken heart.
